Our Purpose

Rolak Foundation was born from a simple belief: every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and cared for, regardless of the circumstances into which they were born.

We provide essential resources that can make a meaningful difference — from receiving blankets for newborns to clothing, school bags, writing materials, and safer learning environments for children.

We believe change can begin with something small. One child helped. One need met. One act of kindness can become a reason to hope.

Everything we do at Rolak Foundation is centered on supporting children from birth through elementary school with the essential resources, care, educational support, and safe environments they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Education & School Support

We help children access the basic resources they need to learn and succeed in school. Our support includes writing materials, school bags, uniforms, shoes, and other essential educational supplies for children in need.

Newborn & Infant Support

We support newborn babies and infants by providing essential items that help welcome and care for them during their earliest days. This includes items such as receiving blankets provided to clinics and hospitals for newborn babies.

Essential Needs for Children

We provide basic necessities that can make a meaningful difference in a child's everyday life, including clothing, shoes, school supplies, bags, and other essential items based on the needs of the children we serve.

Safe & Supportive Learning Environments

We believe children deserve safe and appropriate places to learn. We support projects that improve the environments where children spend their school days, including providing or constructing essential facilities such as toilets for elementary schools.

At Rolak Foundation, we believe that sometimes changing a child's life begins with something simple — a school bag, a pair of shoes, a blanket for a newborn, a writing book, or a safe place to learn.

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rashidat Olayinka Idris

Rashidat Olayinka Idris is the Founder and Executive Director of Rolak Foundation, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, and Public Administration degree holder.

Her passion for helping vulnerable children grew from her own life experiences and a deep desire to ensure that every child receives the dignity, care, opportunity, and love they deserve.

FOUNDER'S STORY

From Pain To Purpose

Growing up, I experienced profound emotional pain and challenges that shaped my understanding of vulnerability, compassion, and the importance of having someone who cares.

Today, I am a degree holder in Public Administration, an entrepreneur, a Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, and a passionate advocate for children and vulnerable members of society.

When I returned to Nigeria over the years, I became increasingly aware of the challenges faced by children and families who lacked access to basic opportunities, care, and support.

That is where Rolak Foundation was born — from a personal desire to turn difficult experiences into a purposeful mission of helping others.

Our work begins from the very start of life, supporting children, strengthening families, and creating opportunities that can positively influence their future.

I may not be able to change everything, but I believe that meaningful change can begin with one child, one family, and one act of compassion at a time.

Through Rolak Foundation, my hope is to leave a legacy of compassion, empowerment, and meaningful transformation — a legacy that continues to impact lives long after today.

Favour Olagunju - Director of Rolak Foundation
ROLAK FOUNDATION
DIRECTOR

Favour Olagunju

Favour Olagunju is an experienced healthcare professional with over three decades of clinical and community nursing experience. She currently serves as a Child Immunisation Nurse with an NHS Trust in the United Kingdom.

She is also a Pastor, charity leader, church planter, and experienced foster carer, with a strong passion for children, families, community service, and faith-based outreach.

Favour holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing Studies and is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM), with additional qualifications in family planning and fostering. She is also a director of several organizations in the UK and Nigeria.

Her diverse experience in healthcare, child welfare, charity, leadership, and community service brings valuable knowledge and perspective to the work of Rolak Foundation.

Ridwanullai Olaiya Olanitori - Director of Rolak Foundation

Ridwanullai Olaiya Olanitori

At just 18 years old, Ridwanullai Olaiya Olanitori brings a distinctive youth perspective to the leadership of Rolak Foundation. A student leader, community-service advocate, creative designer, and emerging young professional, Ridwan is passionate about leadership, service, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to contribute to the wellbeing of others.

His leadership experience began through Student Council, where he participated in and helped lead community-service initiatives and student events. These experiences strengthened his skills in teamwork, communication, organization, event planning, and collaborative leadership.

His participation in Model United Nations further developed his abilities in public speaking, research, diplomacy, collaboration, and thoughtful engagement with issues affecting communities around the world.

At International Leadership of Texas, Ridwan also took a leadership role in organizing and leading a Black History Month event. This experience demonstrated his ability to coordinate programs, bring people together, engage his peers, and create meaningful community experiences.

Beyond school leadership, Ridwan has gained practical experience through his involvement with Rolak Foundation, supporting administrative paperwork, project materials, and creative design work. This hands-on involvement has given him a deeper understanding of the planning, coordination, and commitment required to turn charitable initiatives into meaningful community impact.

Ridwan is particularly passionate about youth participation in charitable service. He believes young people should not only be beneficiaries of positive change but should also be empowered to actively create it by contributing their time, skills, creativity, and energy to the service of others.

He is currently pursuing higher education and is expected to earn his Associate of Science degree in December 2026. His combination of youth leadership, education, creativity, community service, and practical experience with Rolak Foundation enables him to contribute a valuable perspective to the Foundation's leadership.

As a young Director, Ridwan represents Rolak Foundation's commitment to encouraging the next generation to embrace service, responsibility, compassion, and positive community involvement.
